Writing a book about grief from a dog’s point of view might seem odd. However, Rolo’s Journey is a story inspired by my daughter’s photographs of her beloved dog, Rolo. Amanda, an architect and photographer, was blessed to meet the love of her life in New York City. Robert Christopher was a commodities trader on Wall Street. When the two met is was as if they were born to be together. They loved life and each other beyond measure. They travelled the world with Rolo by their side. Amanda and Robert Christopher considered themselves blessed beyond imaginings. This is a story of their journey through a lifetime that was both joyous and sorrowfully tragic. I have experienced the tremendous hardship of bearing loss and grief and I have read countless books in my search for some understanding. I wanted to share what I have learned. Amanda and Robert Christopher taught me that nothing in life is more important than love.
